Vibeke Sorenson, from the California Institute of the Arts, has published this paper on The Contribution of the Artist to Scientific Visualization (the use of computer graphics to represent data, usually in three dimensions). Included are suggestions as to how to better integrate artists and scientists into Scientific Visualization efforts, and examples from industry and academia.
